Job Description – Sales Development Manager Department: Marketing Reports To: Director of Marketing (with close collaboration with Sales Leadership) Role Summary

Polygon is a global leader in property damage control, temporary climate control, and environmental solutions for business continuity. We partner with contractors, developers, and owners to protect buildings, reduce risk, and deliver on-time, on-budget outcomes. As part of our growth strategy, Polygon US is establishing its first Sales Development function. We are seeking a Sales Development Manager to design, launch, and scale this program. This role is not simply about individual prospecting—it is about building a new function that will become a long-term driver of pipeline and revenue. The Sales Development Manager will: Build the foundation for a high-performing SDR team including one FTE and PTE already on staff. Develop scalable processes for outbound and inbound lead generation. Lead special research and outreach initiatives in construction, food & industrial markets, and institutional environments (universities, libraries, etc.). Grow adoption of Polygon’s digital solutions (IoT) for preventative monitoring. Pivot and adapt strategies based on market feedback and organizational objectives. Essential Job Functions

Leadership & Program Development Establish the SDR function at Polygon, including strategy, goals, processes, and metrics. Build, coach, and eventually scale a team of SDRs; set expectations and performance standards. Act as the point person for SDR operations, ensuring alignment with Sales and Marketing leadership. Oversee outbound and inbound prospecting efforts across phone, email, social, and digital channels. Identify and qualify leads from construction, food, industrial, and institutional markets. Support growth of Polygon’s digital/IoT preventative solutions through proactive education and outreach. Promote the full portfolio of services and products in the spirit of increasing customer lifetime value (land and expand for cross sell and upsell potential). Ensure proper qualification, nurturement, and conversion of leads for handoff to the sales team. Support the sales team throughout sales cycle with the objective to close. Process & Tools Own SDR-related CRM workflows; ensure leads and opportunities are captured, tracked, and reported accurately. Evaluate and implement third-party prospecting tools and lead partners (e.g., ConstructConnect, Dodge, LinkedIn Navigator, SalesLoft). Establish templates, scripts, and outreach standards to ensure a professional, scalable approach. Monitor pipeline metrics, conversion rates, and SDR productivity; report regularly to leadership. Use data to identify gaps and opportunities; recommend adjustments to strategies. Gather feedback from sales, marketing, and operations teams and adapt SDR tactics accordingly. Required 5+ years in B2B sales development, inside sales, or business development. 2+ years in a leadership or team management role. Experience building or scaling an SDR function from the ground up. Knowledge of the construction industry sales cycle; familiarity with tools like ConstructConnect or Dodge Data is strongly preferred. Track record of creating outbound strategies that drive measurable pipeline growth. Strong analytical skills; ability to turn data into actionable insights. Excellent communication, coaching, and motivational skills. Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics, NetSuite or similar). Ability to travel occasionally (
