Townsen Memorial Hospital is looking for a Full-Time Supply Chain Analyst to join our team in our Houston TX 77072 location.
Overview The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for providing data analysis and reporting to support supply chain strategy within the Materials Management Department. This role ensures accurate item and contract data in Meditech, monitors hospitalwide supply utilization, and delivers actionable insights to drive cost savings, contract compliance, and inventory optimization. The analyst works closely with department leaders and clinical teams to ensure supplies are purchased at the best value and used efficiently across all hospital facilities.
Responsibilities Data Analysis
Track and analyze supply utilization across facilities using Meditech and other reporting tools
Generate reports on supply consumption, usage patterns, and forecasted needs
Provide data-driven recommendations for PAR level reviews and inventory optimization
Develop and distribute dashboards, savings documentation, and departmental scorecards
Prepare and present monthly supply chain performance reports to leadership
Identify trends, waste, and savings opportunities through ongoing utilization analysis
Document and track cost savings and efficiency improvements achieved by the department
Contract Management
Maintain accurate item and contract information in Meditech, including pricing, packaging, and catalog details
Manage the Meditech Item Dictionary and Contracts Module, ensuring data integrity
Review and resolve purchase order issues such as price discrepancies, contract exceptions, or vendor errors
Monitor GPO contracts to validate compliance, optimize tier participation, and maximize cost savings
Track vendor price changes, monitor purchase order notifications, and ensure alignment with hospital contracts
Maintain organized contract files and ensure timely renewals and updates
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong data analysis skills with the ability to identify trends and communicate results clearly
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, lookups) and other Microsoft Office products
Demonstrated ability to use Meditech or other ERP systems to manage supply and contract data
Knowledge of hospital supply chain processes, inventory management, and contract compliance
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills
Ability to analyze complex data sets and communicate findings in a clear, actionable manner
Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to solve supply-related issues
Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
Two (2) years of healthcare materials management or supply chain analytics experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of hire
