food safety, quality assurance, and team leadership ? This role is with a leading food manufacturing company that produces trusted brands, seeking an FSQA expert to join the team. Responsibilities

Lead the execution and documentation of all Food Safety, Quality Assurance, SQF, and Regulatory programs to ensure full compliance and product integrity. Identify, investigate, and resolve product or process failures swiftly, minimizing downtime while maintaining safety and quality standards. Collaborate with plant management, production teams, and USDA representatives to drive continuous improvement in food safety, quality, and sanitation practices. Proactively manage HACCP, SSOP, and product specifications to prevent quality and safety issues before they occur. Lead initiatives that enhance product quality and production processes in partnership with FSQA staff and Operations. Represent the department on plant committees and task forces, contributing to elevated safety and compliance standards across the facility. Sanitation & SQF System Ownership

Own the SQF system, ensure the plan is regularly reviewed, updated, and communicated across the team. Conduct operational and pre-operational sanitation inspections, including micro-sampling, to validate sanitation effectiveness. Lead plant-wide awareness and successful implementation of all SQF requirements. Leadership & Team Development

Manage daily assignments, performance, and professional development of the food safety and quality assurance team. Provide hands-on leadership, training, and mentorship to cultivate a high-performing team focused on food safety and product quality. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution and

2+ years of relevant experience

in food safety or quality assurance — or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven leadership experience through team supervision, project ownership, or mentoring. Familiarity with meat processing environments, USDA regulations, HACCP, SSOP, and SQF systems. Ability to manage regulatory, customer, and internal standards and effectively resolve related inquiries or complaints. Preferred Qualifications & Skills

HACCP and SQF certifications are highly desirable. Proficiency with database systems, inventory and manufacturing software, QMS platforms, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and planning abilities. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to complete forms in English and be available to travel up to 20%, including occasional extended hours or weekend work. Team-oriented mindset with a focus on building strong cross-functional relationships.
