Responsibilities
Brasfield & Gorrie has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Dallas team. Work location may be in Dallas/Fort Worth or on projects in various locations based out of Texas.
Solicit, review, and scope subcontractor and vendor bids, quotes, and related contract specification sections.
Administer subcontracts for area of responsibility (payments, insurance, bond, safety, haz-com, etc.).
Review and understand contract documents (plans and specifications).
Assist with project startup, including obtaining permits and licenses and managing jobsite mobilization.
Lead responsibility for project document management and project controls.
Assist in development, planning, and updating of the overall project schedule.
Assist in development of project quality control plan implementation and compliance with contract requirements.
Lead subcontractor startup meetings.
Manage the complete submittal process, including obtaining, reviewing, and managing submittals for compliance and procurement.
Manage a portion of project scope, such as civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and/or electrical.
Lead and facilitate project coordination meetings (MEP, skin, site utility/logistics, phasing plan, etc.).
Create and manage tracking logs (e.g., concrete, rebar, stone).
Coordinate with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) regarding inspection and compliance requirements.
Update project management software with job status reports, change orders, RFIs, etc.
Manage LEED requirements, compliance, and documentation when applicable.
Resolve daily problems and expedite materials with field supervision.
Support the project team with budgeting, cost projections, and labor reports.
Review and code invoices according to the project’s actual committed report.
Manage punch list and coordinate with subcontractors for execution.
Oversee project closeout, including documentation and final reports.
Education, Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or related field.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Conflict resolution and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and familiarity with project management software.
Experience on construction projects preferred.
Willingness to travel and/or relocate as required.
