Responsibilities

Brasfield & Gorrie has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Dallas team. The work location may be in Dallas/Fort Worth or on projects in various locations based out of Texas. Solicit, review, and scope subcontractor and vendor bids, quotes, and related contract specification sections. Administer subcontracts for the area of responsibility (payments, insurance, bonds, safety, HAZCOM, etc.). Review and understand contract documents (plans and specifications). Assist with project start-up, including obtaining permits and licenses and managing jobsite mobilization. Lead responsibility for project document management and project controls. Assist in development, planning, and updating of the overall project schedule. Assist in the development and implementation of the project quality control plan and ensure compliance with contract requirements. Lead subcontractor start-up meetings. Manage the complete submittal process, including obtaining submittals, reviewing for compliance, managing approvals, and tracking with procurement schedules. Manage a portion of the project scope, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and/or electrical. Lead and facilitate project coordination meetings (MEP, skin, site utility/logistics, phasing plan, etc.). Create and manage tracking logs (e.g., concrete, rebar, stone). Coordinate with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) regarding inspection and compliance requirements. Enter and update project information in management software (job status reports, projections, change orders, RFIs). Manage LEED requirements, compliance, and documentation when applicable. Resolve daily issues and expedite materials with field supervision. Support the project manager and team with budgeting and reporting. Provide accurate cost projections for the area of responsibility. Review and code invoices according to project reports. Manage punch lists and coordinate with subcontractors for completion. Oversee project closeout activities (documents, final reports, and accounting). Education, Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or a related field. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Conflict resolution skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask. Familiarity with project management software.
