Retail Planner
to join the team in our Dallas, Texas office. The
Retail Planner
role plays a critical role in aligning marketing strategies with retail business objectives. This role is responsible for planning and optimizing retail campaigns, promotions, and in-store programs to drive traffic, increase sales, and enhance the consumer experience. Acting as a strategic liaison between client retail teams, internal creative, media, and analytics teams, the Retail Planner ensures that marketing initiatives are informed by shopper insights, retail trends, and product availability. Responsibilities: Act as the day-to-day point of contact for all things shopper marketing and retail media. Serve as a trusted partner to clients, helping them translate brand goals into effective, retailer-specific marketing strategies. Lead strategy development tailored to each retailer's ecosystem (e.g., Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Kroger Precision Marketing, Target Roundel, Home Depot Orange Access, and more). Stay up-to-date on changes and new opportunities in the shopper marketing space and proactively communicate key updates to the larger team. Support the development and execution of new business pitches, including research, presentation building, and coordination across internal teams to craft compelling and strategic proposals. Assist with shopper marketing training of other digital media specialists. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on seasonal retail calendar and lead the development of campaign plans to support new product releases, promotions, etc. Support the integration of omnichannel campaigns, ensuring alignment across physical and digital retail touchpoints. Coordinate with internal teams (creative, media, analytics) and retail media partners to ensure flawless execution. Responsible for end-to-end campaign setup - plan, execute, and optimize shopper and retail media campaigns. Manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables across multiple campaigns and accounts. Monitor campaign performance in real time, proactively identify optimization opportunities. Analyze KPIs (ROAS, CPA, CTR, conversion rates, etc.), retail sales data, shopper behavior, and competitive retail landscapes to inform strategic recommendations. Partner with analytics teams to identify opportunities to drive traffic and increase conversion within retail environments. Present planning documents, campaign strategies, and performance reports to stakeholders. Assist with new client onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition regarding access, billing, tracking, etc. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Retail Management, or related fields. 3–5 years of experience in retail media networks, shopper media planning, or shopper media buying within an agency or retail brand environment. Experience supporting omnichannel or brick-and-mortar retail initiatives. Experience working with CPG and home goods retail clients. Experience with retailer media platforms - Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Kroger Precision Marketing, Home Depot Orange Access. Experience with Pacvue, Instacart, Criteo. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple campaigns across varying timelines. Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable strategies. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and retail analytics tools. Comfortable presenting to client stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Seniority level
