Overview
The Supply Chain Manager will lead, develop, and execute the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy to maximize process efficiency and productivity. This role oversees the end-to-end supply chain, including procurement, demand forecasting, inventory management, and distribution. The ideal candidate is a strategic, analytical leader with proven experience in driving continuous improvement and mitigating risks. Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Oversight Develop and implement an overarching supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and growth targets. Analyze supply chain data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction. Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams (including sales, finance, and operations) to create coordinated business plans and integrate strategic initiatives. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as supplier disruptions, and develop proactive contingency plans. Procurement and Vendor Management Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure supplier compliance to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels. Evaluate and qualify new suppliers based on capacity, quality, and reliability. Develop and monitor supplier performance metrics, including on-time delivery and quality standards, and conduct quarterly business reviews. Oversee all purchasing activities and maintain proper procurement documentation and records. Logistics and Inventory Control Manage and optimize inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking across multiple warehouses and distribution centers. Oversee logistics operations, including transportation planning and warehouse management, to ensure the timely and cost-effective movement of goods. Utilize an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to manage inventory, track purchase orders, and monitor stock status. Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy and minimize waste. Team Leadership and Development Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals, including logistics coordinators and procurement specialists. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability within the team. Reinforce safety guidelines and protocols, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards. Provide guidance on issue resolution and assist the team in achieving their objectives and KPIs. Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with demonstrated leadership experience in procurement, inventory, or logistics. Demonstrated proficiency with ERP and supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Proven ability to analyze complex data, forecast demand, and develop effective supply chain strategies. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities. Preferred
Master's degree in a relevant field or an MBA. Certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM). Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. Job Details
