Assistant Director of Donor Relations & Stewardship Reporting to the Senior Director of Law School Advancement, the Assistant Director of Stewardship & Donor Relations will connect donors with the impact of their investment, as well as inspire them to continue and grow their support for the University of Georgia School of Law.

Position Summary The University of Georgia is seeking an experienced donor relations professional to develop and steward relationships with the law school’s alumni, faculty, staff, and students. The role involves designing and implementing meaningful ways to connect donors with the impact of their investment, coordinating personalized experiences on and off campus, and collaborating with the annual giving team to grow support for the law school’s fundraising goals.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a law school, law firm, and/or legal, judicial, or corporate job

Experience working with non-profit, alumni relations, stewardship, events, and/or fundraising

Knowledge and experience using Blackbaud CRM system

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or Competencies

Outstanding writer and excellent proofreader.

Self-starter.

Willing to work collaboratively.

Respond to constituents in a professional manner.

Detail-oriented with a drive to effectively manage a project from start to finish.

Skilled using Microsoft Office products.

Knowledge of GAIL a plus.

Work evenings and weekends for development events.

Duties/Responsibilities – Giving Connections & Relationships (50%)

Design and implement meaningful ways to connect donors with the impact of their investment.

Coordinate personalized experiences on and off campus for key constituents.

Coordinate the law school’s involvement in university-wide donor stewardship opportunities.

Identify and implement event details and logistics.

Collaborate with the annual giving team in growing support for the Law School Fund.

Support major school ceremonies and events organized by the advancement office and other departments/offices.

Refer prospects to the Senior Director of Development for potential next steps.

Duties/Responsibilities – Giving Acknowledgements (30%)

Oversee all aspects of the law school’s gift acknowledgment program.

Manage the timely acknowledgment process in the law school’s database, GAIL, while ensuring donor data accuracy.

Develop personalized thank-you notes and outreach to sustain alumni relationships.

Confirm, update, and maintain the current fiscal year donor list and Annual Report on the law school’s website.

Ensure all constituent interactions and registrations are documented in the GAIL database.

Duties/Responsibilities – Giving Societies & Donor Engagement (20%)

Manage the law school’s donor stewardship societies.

Oversee donor engagement efforts in collaboration with advancement staff.

Track and analyze data to measure effectiveness and refine strategies.

Benefits The position offers a competitive salary range of $50,000–$58,000, commensurate with experience, and is eligible for university benefits.
