Carilion Clinic & the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, Roanoke, VA Children's Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia is seeking a Developmental Pediatrician to join their Child Development Clinic. The clinic features a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team including Developmental Pediatricians, Clinical Psychologists, Social Workers, Pediatric Nurses, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational and Physical Therapists, and Education Specialists. The clinic serves NICU graduates and children with neurodevelopmental needs such as cerebral palsy, autism, and developmental delays. Carilion Children's is the primary referral center for western Virginia, offering the area's only dedicated children's hospital with a 60-bed NICU/intermediate nursery, an 8-bed PICU, a 24-bed inpatient ward, and a pediatric emergency department. The facility also provides pediatric primary care, 19 subspecialty clinics, and various ancillary services. Physicians hold academic appointments through the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, with research opportunities available. The Roanoke Valley, a seven-time "All America City," is a metropolitan area of 300,000 located between the Appalachian Trail and Blue Ridge Parkway.
