Licensed for 457 beds Level 3 Trauma Stroke center of Excellence Bariatric center of Excellence Chest Pain Center Unit Information
Beds: 13 labor beds, 5 triage rooms Average census of 9-10 patients daily. Responsibilities / Duties
Labor & delivery and postpartum care for high risk antepartum, labor, and immediate postpartum patients Manage labor management, circulate cesarean sections, pre-op, PACU, triage Resuscitation of newborns, Pitocin management, epidural management Telemetry monitoring – bedside and nurses station EMR: EPIC; IV pumps: Alaris; med dispensing: Omnicell; monitors: GE; unit equipment: Monica Novii, Neptune Support within the Department: secretary (Mon-Fri 8-5); charge nurse 24/7; phlebotomy; IV/VAT team; RT 24/7; hospitalist 24/7; intensivist 24/7; OB physicians; anesthesia/CRNA team Floating within region facilities listed and within scope of practice; decline if not agreeable Region
Region 1
- Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only)); may float to any facilities within region if needed If floating mid-shift, traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock). Orientation / Scheduling
Orientation: NEO; 2 days departmental Scheduling: Weekend rotation every other; no call required for travelers Holiday expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays RTO: Up to 6 days off; must add time to end of contract if unable to meet contracted hours Schedule cycle: every 4 weeks Scrub color: hospital-provided green OR scrubs Parking: Free Seniority level
