Civil Engineer - Drainage

Burgess & Niple . Location: Louisville, KY Compensation: $110,000.00-$130,000.00 Responsibilities
Develop the drainage design approaches and manage development of the drainage design associated with task work orders resolving historical flooding, municipal general civil projects and roadway improvement projects Provide design on projects involving stormwater management, floodplain analysis & compensation, stormwater conveyance, bridge hydraulics & scour evaluations, watershed modeling (1D & 2D) and environmental permitting Develop drainage design documentation reports and technical memorandums. Act as the primary drainage Engineer for municipal and various DOT projects Able to provide guidance and technical oversight to engineering interns and CADD technicians Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil or environmental engineering program PE registration in the State of Kentucky, or ability to be registered with reciprocity 5+ years of related drainage design experience Proven project capture and delivery with strong interpersonal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office; any experience with ORD Drainage, C3D drainage, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HY8, ArcGIS is a plus Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, age, national origin, disability status, marital status, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
