We are currently seeking a talented bilingual (English & Korean) individual to join our Smart Factory Team as a Material Handling Automation Specialist (Korean & English) working with Autonomous Ground Vehicles (AGV) in Clarksville, TN as part of the new LG Electronics Tennessee Factory. This position pays $63,000 annually and up depending upon experience. Responsibilities
In-house logistics/layout optimization and Intelligent solution development/operation for realization of intelligent autonomous production system. Manage the production system for smooth operation of production/quality/in-house logistics and promote the advancement of DX (informatization/intelligence) across the organization. Establish a synchronized production system across main line, sub line, and each shop, with integrated control of equipment, quality, logistics, and production. On-site action when idle work is expected or issues occur; provide on-site support when issues arise. Design layout changes for the Tennessee plant production; coordinate new depot layout, consult with related departments, review layouts when changing depots, and set CAD drawing schedules. Improve and analyze AGV (Automatic Guided Vehicle) & AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots) operation in the TN plant; understand AGV operating systems and perform skilled operations (ACS & MCS System, Digital Twin System, etc.). Manage team KPIs and personal KPIs; prepare weekly and monthly KPI reports. Conduct DX projects to improve teamwork or corporate production environment operations. Support staff tasks such as purchasing-related EP or GP processes, asset management, safety, security, etc.; assist with tasks requiring teamwork (depot layout changes, QR work, physical cart inventory, 5S & FI-11). Qualifications & Knowledge
Manufacturing experience; 5+ years in a production plant with 300+ employees is preferred. Engineering degree preferred; relevant experience may substitute for a title; other majors are possible. Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and CAD drawing for reports and data analysis. Good communication skills with AGV & ACS system developers in Korea.
