Overview
We are seeking a
seasoned and visionary Mechanical Engineer
to lead the
mechanical design and operations strategy
for hyperscale data center infrastructure. This role is critical to enabling scalable, high-performance environments optimized for dense compute workloads and
energy-efficient operations . As the in-house mechanical subject matter expert, you will oversee advanced cooling technologies, HVAC, fluid systems, and thermal strategies. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will drive design innovation, operational excellence, and resilience across global infrastructure programs. Key Responsibilities
Define the mechanical engineering vision for high-density compute facilities with focus on
efficiency, reliability, and scalability . Lead cross-functional teams through
design, construction, commissioning, and ongoing operations . Develop strategies for
advanced cooling : liquid-to-chip, immersion, rear-door heat exchangers, and airflow optimization. Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies (e.g.,
phase-change cooling, AI-assisted thermal modeling, advanced materials ) to transform next-gen data center design. Partner with electrical and controls teams to ensure fully integrated system architecture. Establish
internal standards
for mechanical design, QA/QC, documentation, and compliance. Lead
root cause analysis
of failures; implement resilience strategies to minimize downtime and maximize availability. Manage vendor relationships, specifications, testing, and maintenance standards. Deploy monitoring tools and dashboards to analyze performance metrics, enabling
predictive maintenance and continuous optimization . Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s in
Mechanical Engineering . 12+ years of experience in
data centers or mission-critical facilities . Expertise in
thermodynamics, CFD modeling, and advanced cooling strategies . Proven experience with
hyperscale or GPU-accelerated compute environments . Strong communicator and leader with experience guiding engineering teams. Bonus Points
Background in
rapid expansion projects
scaling mechanical systems to meet high demand. Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and energy optimization for large-scale compute. Employment details
