Overview
Job Title: Field Service Technician
Location: Elgin, IL
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay range: 35-40/HR
Responsibilities
Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot, repair and install industrial packaging machinery.
Collaborate with customers on pre-consultation, site readiness, startup monitoring, and customer training on client equipment.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to maintain high quality operation.
Complete service reports, record repairs, and document warranty and maintenance performed.
Occasional travel up to 80%; travel may be international to Canada, Mexico and Brazil.
Requirements
Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent is preferred, plus 4 or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in the Packaging Equipment field is desired, but not required.
Hands-on Electro-Mechanical experience, pneumatics, AC/DC motor control, PLCs, VFDs.
Bilingual English and Spanish.
Must be self-motivated with the ability to work and think independently.
