Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Calvary Robotics . Description Calvary Robotics is recognized as a leading manufacturer of robotic platforms, automated production systems, and associated technologies. We are seeking a senior mechanical design engineer with at least 5 years' experience in conceptual design of automated equipment according to customer specifications. Capable of leading complex designs of large single or multi-module custom systems. Concept, design, detail, create BOMs, and release to the shop, providing reliable, cost-effective automation and test solutions that meet the metrics for cycle rate, uptime, and quality, while achieving critical milestones and staying within budget. Prepare detailed designs of unusual, complex, original automated equipment. Perform difficult assignments requiring initiative, resourcefulness, and expertise. Ensure that potential problems in manufacturing, assembly, installation, and operation are addressed through the design and drawings. Exercise independent judgment in data interpretation based on the design intent. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical/Electro Engineering, or equivalent experience. 5+ years' experience with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD designing custom automated test and assembly machines across various industries. Experience leading large projects ($1M+) with multiple engineers. Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, shop practices, automation, and test components. Proficiency in SolidWorks, design techniques, and automation principles for creating automation and test stations. Understanding controls and their interaction with mechanical design. Mentoring skills and desire to teach junior engineers and peers. Strong work ethic, sense of urgency, and commitment. Focus on budgets, schedules, and profitability. Seniority level
