Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced
Concrete Construction Superintendent
to lead field operations for large-scale
commercial and industrial concrete projects . This role is responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, supervising field crews and subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate has strong field leadership experience and a deep understanding of structural and flatwork concrete construction including foundations, slabs, tilt-up panels, parking structures, and industrial-grade floors.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all daily field operations for concrete scope, including excavation, formwork, rebar placement, pouring, finishing, and curing
Coordinate labor crews, subcontractors, material deliveries, and equipment usage
Ensure work is performed according to construction documents, project specs, and engineering standards
Lead pre-pour meetings and inspections; monitor quality control throughout the construction process
Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standards; conduct regular site safety meetings and inspections
Resolve job site issues quickly and efficiently to minimize delays
Manage site documentation including daily logs, progress photos, safety reports, and field notes
Communicate project status, challenges, and scheduling updates to the project manager and stakeholders
Support project scheduling and sequencing to align with production goals
Interface with engineers, inspectors, and client representatives as needed
Requirements
7+ years of experience in concrete construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/superintendent role on commercial or industrial projects
Proven experience with large-scale concrete operations such as tilt-up, cast-in-place, post-tensioned, or structural concrete
Strong blueprint reading skills and familiarity with layout and survey tools
Excellent organizational, leadership, and team management abilities
Proficiency with project management tools and field reporting apps (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, or similar)
OSHA 30 Certification (or ability to obtain)
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours based on project needs
