Skyworks is seeking enthusiastic engineering students to join our RFIC team in Irvine as a Winter/Spring Co-Op (Jan – Jun 2026). This is a wonderful opportunity to enhance and expand your technical knowledge and gain experience of the design of RF integrated circuits. You will work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to real product developments. Term: Winter/Spring (Jan - June 2026) Responsibilities
Assist with the design, analysis, simulation and evaluation of RF building blocks (particularly LNAs and RF switches) Support schematic entry, simulations and data analysis using CAD & RF tools Collaborate with other engineers to debug and validate circuit performance Contribute to design reviews and team discussions Prepare reports, plots and design documentation Participate in lab testing and characterization Learn and apply engineering best practices to ensure performance and reliability in the most cost-effective manner Required Experience and Skills
Currently pursuing a BS, MS or PHD in Electrical Engineering with coursework covering RF/microwave, analog or semiconductor technology A strong understanding of basic circuit design (e.g. filters, noise and linearity) Familiarity with RF and microwave concepts (e.g. s-parameters, NF and IIP3) Experience with CAD and simulation tools (e.g. Cadence Virtuoso) Attention to detail, problem solving skills and an eagerness to learn Good communication skills and the ability to work in both small and large teams Desired Experience and Skills
Competence with Cadence Virtuoso is very much preferred EM simulation with EMX of HFSS is a plus RF measurement experience is a plus The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
