Taylor Corporation is seeking an
Industrial Engineer
to work in the Corporate Process Improvement Engineering team. This opportunity provides the challenge of working directly with various Taylor companies in optimizing production processes utilizing Lean and Six Sigma tools. Your Responsibilities
Effectively participate in a collaborative team atmosphere working with production leaders, peers, and stakeholders across the enterprise on continuous improvement projects such as improving efficiencies, throughput, cost savings, and quality resulting in ROI through the utilization of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies. With emphasis toward working the DMAIC approach, function as the continuous improvement project lead on these initiatives from project start to finish. Develop new concepts from the initial design research and development into feasibility studies to determine if concepts are capable of functioning as intended. Utilize the Lean Six Sigma approach to map out the current state and justify an effective future state plan resulting in ROI. These efforts will require working knowledge in tools such as VSM, From-to-Charts, Relationship Charts, Spaghetti diagrams, Cost Analysis, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, 5 whys, 5S, 8 wastes of manufacturing, and more. Utilize statistical and quality tools as applicable such as FMEA/PFMEA, Gage R&R, Control Charts, SPC, Cpk, DOE, Pareto Charts, Histograms, Regression Analysis, fishbone diagrams (5 M's). Participate in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures. You Must Have
Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering 2+ years of experience in manufacturing with experience on continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma Experience using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Strong statistical knowledge relevant to manufacturing and quality control Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities Ability to travel up to approximately 30%. Travel primarily local within the Mankato area and to other facilities within Minnesota and the US We Would Also Prefer
Knowledge of Printing and Fulfillment industry experience Mechanical and technical aptitude Compensation
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $70,000 - $82,000. The actual base salary offered depends on factors including qualifications, years of relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. About Taylor Corporation
