Job Description
Nestled in the "Gateway to the Redwoods", Adventist Health Howard Memorial takes pride in its legacy of providing exceptional, high-quality care since 1928. We are comprised of a state-of-the-art 74,000 square foot facility, with four surgery suites, an on-site farm-to-fork restaurant and 25 beautiful private rooms designed with healing and comfort in mind. We provide a wide-range of primary and specialty care services to best serve our community. Willits is home to excellent trails and nature areas for hikers, campers and bicyclists. Job Summary
Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification and accrediting requirement guidelines. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.
Job Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
Master's Degree: Required Two years' speech language pathology experience: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications
Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Required Speech-Language Pathology (SLP): Required Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP): Required
Essential Functions
Reviews patient information before evaluations and during course of treatment. Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments. Assists in data collection of patient outcomes. Instructs and directs support staff, as outlined in national and state Practice Acts. Supervises assistants and support staff. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
