Summary
Assists Adult’s Program Manager with the day-to-day operations of the Ski & Ride School. Assist with employee training and scheduling, monitoring daily rentals and lessons, and providing exceptional customer service to our guests.
Duties And Responsibilities Are (but Not Limited To)
Responsible for assisting guests with appropriate size skis/snowboard based on current methodologies including adjusting bindings to proper settings based on rental agreement information and selecting correct ski poles and boot sizes. Assists with providing direction to staff to ensure adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established goals and objectives for department. Assists with training, support, guidance, and providing feedback with staff as necessary. Assists with daily operational issues as they pertain to the Learn to Ride Center. Coordinates labor management guidelines provided by supervisor. Must ensure accuracy and completeness pertaining to each liability release form. Must follow all ASTM standards regarding bindings. Responsible for managing all guest transactions in a courteous, accurate and efficient manner. Assists with accurate data entry into rental equipment system for accurate inventory as well as able to create reports at the end of the day. Assist guests with resort information regarding rental, lift and ski school products. Contribute to team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guests and employees; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions. Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor. Flexible schedule
Responsibilities To Safety
Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort guests at all times. Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay. Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures. Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
Supervisory Responsibilities
In immediate supervisor’s absence, supervises 10 to 20 employees in the LTR Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Resort certification on any necessary equipment.
