Veterinary Technician Surgery - SIGN ON BONUS!

is hiring an exceptional Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery Team.
Pay:
$21.00 - $40.00 / hour
(starting point dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system).
Sign-On Bonus:
up to $3,000
for qualified applicants.
Requirements and expectations:
Prefer a minimum of two or more years of experience in a veterinary hospital.
A rotating on-call schedule is required once training is completed.
A BluePearl Surgery Technician is responsible for post-operative client communication and must be able to work independently while contributing to a larger team goal.
As a Surgery Veterinary Technician, you will:
Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
Place peripheral intravenous catheters in the cephalic vein.
Perform physical exams; accurately assess heart rate, pulse, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.
Monitor vital parameters and alert the doctor when abnormal.
Set up intravenous fluids and administer subcutaneous fluids.
Operate and troubleshoot all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and manage connections aseptically.
Monitor patient response to fluid therapy and signs of overload.
