Laboratory Technician (entry level) - Eurofins Environment Testing - North Kingstown, RI Full-time entry level position with benefits, Monday - Friday, 11:00am - 7:00pm. Compensation $16-19/hour (depends on experience). This role is suitable for individuals seeking to gain experience in a laboratory setting without a four-year degree. As part of Eurofins Environment Testing (USA), you will join a network focused on delivering analytical testing services to support health, safety, and environmental goals. Responsibilities
Prepare samples using standard techniques Perform chemical analysis using standard techniques Calculate data Record and report data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor Perform routine instrument maintenance Work in compliance with Eurofins’ EHS and QA standards Maintain backlogs and organize departmental workload General housekeeping in the work area Able to become trained and competent on complex instrumentation (e.g., total organic carbon, ion chromatography, colormetric chemistries, automatic titrations) Work under close supervision using routine and standard methods Aliquot and weigh samples Wash glassware Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications
Basic Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent High school Chemistry coursework preferred Basic laboratory experience preferred Previous production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines) Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (samples will be in coolers packed in ice) Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen Professional working proficiency in English (read, write, and speak) Perform other duties as assigned Additional Information
