Veterinarian - New Grads or Experienced. 30th Street Animal Hospital in Indianapolis is seeking two full-time small-animal veterinarians — one to support growth and one to replace a retiring partner — to provide medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs and cats in a collaborative, appointment-based general practice (GP). New graduates are encouraged to apply and will enter a structured, hospital-led first-year mentorship program, along with enrollment in VPP Academy, a week-long immersive course in Las Vegas covering clinical communication, dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, leadership, and the business of veterinary medicine. Experienced doctors seeking a long-term home are welcome; leadership and partnership opportunities are available but not required as a long-tenured partner retires. We are a progressive, relationship-centered small-animal GP serving East Indianapolis and Lawrence. Our ~6,000 sq ft modern hospital combines gold-standard medicine with practical, budget-aware options and thoughtful follow-through — each patient receives a next-day callback. We are known for compassionate care and strong client support. Facility features include six exam rooms, a surgical suite with two tables and full anesthesia monitoring, a brand-new isolation ward, separate treatment areas for dogs and cats, modern tools (EzyVet PIMS with remote access, Weave, IDEXX in-house lab, digital full-body and dental radiography, ultrasound, therapeutic laser, EKG), a visiting cardiology service for echocardiograms, and ScribbleVet AI for faster documentation. We operate on an appointment-based model with 30-minute doctor visits (9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.), a protected 12–2 p.m. lunch/learning window, and 15-minute technician appointments (two per hour). Walk-ins and drop-offs are accepted for established cases; daytime urgent cases are seen. Stable pets may be hospitalized overnight with owner consent (facility unstaffed); unstable cases are referred to ER/specialty partners. There is no on-call requirement. Services include preventive care, dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, ultrasonography, laser therapy, in-house diagnostics, and membership plans; new clients receive a $1 first-time exam. Culture, Team & Fit We foster a collaborative, kind, low-ego culture with daily huddles, weekly all-staff and DVM meetings, and open-case consults. A dedicated floater assists with capacity, and techs work to the top of their license. Mentorship & Growth New graduates receive a structured ramp: 60-minute appointments initially, progressing to 45 and 30 minutes by ~six months. You’ll rotate through rooms and surgery with multiple doctors, participate in daily check-ins, and use the protected noon window for learning. You’ll also access VPP Academy and peer groups. Early goals include unassisted spay/neuter, basic mass removals, confident dental radiograph interpretation, solid urgent-care triage, and clear transfer summaries.
