Design and development Creating and developing PLC programs for new and existing systems. Designing electrical circuits for low voltage, medium voltage, and AC/DC applications, ensuring compliance with design standards. Working on electrical and control systems defined in construction documentation or product specifications. Developing documentation sets including Bill of Materials (BoM), schematics, wire/conduit schedules, and other drawing details. Programming and implementation Programming and troubleshooting PLCs/Drives from various manufacturers (e.g., Siemens, Lenze). Developing and maintaining HMI terminals for user interaction with controllers. Troubleshooting custom control circuits, including various voltages, I/O signaling, communication networks, and safety circuits. Performing I/O checkout and communication setup of control systems. Loading firmware and setting up communications. Commissioning release of production lines to production post system upgrades/installations. Troubleshooting and maintenance Diagnosing and resolving complex automation logic issues using platforms like Siemens. Conducting scheduled system checks and maintenance activities. Providing technical assistance for 24/7 operations. Ensuring compliance with validation protocols and regulatory requirements. Optimization and improvement Optimizing PLC performance to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reliability. Collaborating with production and engineering teams to implement system enhancements. Collaboration and communication Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, electrical, mechanical, process, and quality engineers. Providing technical support and training to electrical and mechanical technicians. Required Skills And Qualifications
Education Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Experience Proven experience in PLC programming and HMI development, preferably in an industrial environment. Hands-on experience with PLC and HMI brands such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Schneider Electric. Experience with industrial automation integration is often preferred. Technical Skills Proficiency in PLC programming languages, especially ladder logic, function block diagrams, and structured text. Familiarity with HMI development. Knowledge of industrial control systems and automation technologies. Strong understanding of electrical systems, sensors, actuators, and communication protocols. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Familiarity with machine safety standards and best practices, including safety PLCs and risk assessment requirements. Experience with control system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and system optimization. Experience with Autifa, Trustler, Dilo Carding Systems Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Ability to coach/mentor electrical and mechanical technicians.
