Engineer II
role requires a versatile engineering skill set, capable of working independently on process automation engineering and system integration tasks, including concepts, specifications, design, documentation, project implementation, testing, startup, and training. You will be a key member of a diverse team tackling complex automation challenges. Location:
West Chester, OH, Akron, OH, or Longview, TX Responsibilities include: Leading or participating in projects designing, configuring, and testing control applications. Managing project scope, budgets, and schedules, coordinating with project leadership, and ensuring deliverables meet client expectations. Providing solutions and technical expertise to project teams and clients, prioritizing customer satisfaction. Traveling as needed for design, development, and startup activities at client sites. Qualifications: 3-5 years of industry experience in automation projects, preferably in Life Sciences. BS in Engineering or equivalent. Strong technical aptitude, detail-oriented, eager to learn new technologies. Knowledge of standards like ISA S88, ISA S95, GAMP 5, cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11. Experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA systems, database management, control system troubleshooting, and virtual server architectures. Understanding of control system network topologies and instrumentation. Experience supporting equipment installation and commissioning at customer sites. Preferred Application Knowledge: PLC programming (Rockwell Studio5000, RSLogix5000), HMI programming, Wonderware, Ignition, SQL, and control system hardware. Additional Skills: Experience with bio reactors, skid controls, clean/steam in place, autoclaves, centrifuges, BMS, HVAC, and other specialized systems.
