About The Role: A Computer Vision Engineer II will leverage advanced programming and machine-learning skills to create and optimize AI software and hardware that utilizes visual data to perform specific tasks or solve problems. Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and optimize advanced computer vision algorithms and models to process and analyze visual data from visible and infrared imagery. Lead the integration of computer vision solutions into satellite systems, working closely with cross-functional teams. Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of computer vision systems to ensure high performance, accuracy, and reliability. Design and develop sophisticated AI software and hardware for satellite applications, ensuring scalability and robustness. Maintain, improve, and refactor existing computer vision systems and algorithms to enhance performance and functionality. Document code, processes, and methodologies comprehensively for future reference and team collaboration. Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical support and knowledge sharing. Stay updated with the latest advancements in computer vision and machine learning technologies and apply them to current projects. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers. Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables. About You:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree). Typically, 2+ years of related experience. Strong understanding of at least one programming language, and general knowledge of others. Strong understanding of software development principles. Ability to design, code, test, and debug complex software applications. Experience with different software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum/Kanban. Ability to work independently and in a team. Ability to write and maintain technical documentation. The ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required. Preferred Qualifications:

Extensive experience with computer vision libraries and frameworks such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques. Experience with satellite systems or aerospace applications. Proven track record of successfully delivering computer vision projects from concept to deployment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with cloud platforms and services for deploying and scaling computer vision applications. Familiarity with hardware acceleration techniques for computer vision tasks, such as using GPUs or specialized hardware. Experience with data annotation and management for training computer vision models. Knowledge of image processing techniques and tools. Compensation:

Pay Range: $102,960 - $141,750. Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity, and market competitiveness. Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:

Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps. Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity. Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs. Working Conditions:

Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.). Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials. Rarely exposed to loud noises.
