Support the development of additive manufacturing processes by researching and developing new methods for automation, system control, and simulation. Engage with technology development strands such as non-destructive testing, heat treatment, machining, and cell operations to enhance AM processes. Research opportunities to improve robotic, laser welding, and sensor equipment for efficient material deposition. Develop and implement data acquisition systems to monitor key parameters during metal deposition. Support the qualification of AM materials and components for aerospace applications with internal and external customers. Contribute to Technology Readiness Assessments to mature technology into production. Stay current with technical activities within the global technology team and ensure effective exchange of results and issues. Develop, implement, and verify technical solutions and documentation to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and airworthiness requirements. Identify technical problems and apply integrated solutions. Support technical and customer reviews by preparing and presenting technical data. Perform all activities with limited supervision and support other engineers through peer‑to‑peer reviews. Identify, manage, and mitigate risks associated with assigned work. Essential Skills

PhD in Metallurgy, Engineering, or a related technical field. 7+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent advanced degrees. Experience in the aerospace industry with materials such as titanium alloys. Proficiency in CAD and other engineering software. Experience with additively manufactured metallic materials. Ability to perform work subject to ITAR regulations and program requirements. US Citizenship required to meet CUI and ITAR regulations. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with non-destructive evaluation (NDE) of metallic materials. Experience in new product development. Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to traditional and additive manufacturing, including machining, heat treatment, and inspection. Ability to review technical documentation and analyze customer requirements. Experience creating and maintaining databases. Statistical and data analysis capabilities. Excellent cooperation, networking, and team-working skills. Experience working in cross-functional teams. Ability to maintain and report on a budget for assigned activities. Work Environment

This position is based on-site at our additive manufacturing facility in Fort Worth. The role offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and development, including merit increases and potential yearly bonuses. Job Type & Location

Permanent position based out of Fort Worth, Texas. Fully onsite at Fort Worth, TX facility. Pay and Benefits

Pay range: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year. Direct hire with GKN in Fort Worth, with bonus potential and yearly raises. Application Deadline
