Ellaway Blues Consulting A high-growth energy technology company in Houston is hiring an experienced Aero Repair & Manufacturing Manager to lead its turbine repair and advanced manufacturing operations. The business supports the energy transition sector and has invested heavily in site capabilities, featuring superalloy welding, multi-axis machining, HVOF coatings, NDT testing, and reverse engineering.
This role requires strong leadership, deep technical understanding of turbine components, and the ability to scale a highly technical facility. You’ll be responsible for driving capability growth across repair, production, and R&D programs while mentoring cross-functional teams and supporting commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a cross-functional team across inspection, repair, manufacturing, and engineering Drive operational performance and continuous improvement in quality, cost, delivery, and safety Oversee all site processes, KPIs, planning activities and resource management Lead expansion of repair capabilities through training, tooling, new equipment commissioning and process development Support reverse engineering and production of gas turbine parts, including hot gas path components Work closely with supply chain and materials teams to develop in-house manufacturing capabilities Provide senior technical leadership and mentoring across a multi-disciplinary team
What You Need
A degree in engineering and 10+ years in turbine manufacturing or repair At least 5 years in a leadership role within a production environment A solid understanding of turbine repair processes, including coatings, welding, machining and materials testing Proven ability to drive process improvements, develop teams, and manage shop operations at scale
