Job Overview
AAA Car Care is the premier automotive repair service operating 34 AAA clubs across the United States. As a General Service Technician, you will perform routine scheduled maintenance service on automobiles and trucks, including oil changes, tire replacement and general vehicle maintenance. You will work in a customer‑focused environment that values mechanical aptitude, exceptional customer service and continuous learning. Key Responsibilities
Perform routine automotive maintenance service on schedule as directed by a Manager or Service Advisor. Complete basic automotive repair, adjustments and maintenance procedures including oil changes, tire replacement and general vehicle maintenance. Drive vehicles into service bays, prepare and complete digital vehicle inspection. Test drive vehicles and prepare vehicle for delivery to customer after necessary repairs and maintenance are complete. Keep the shop clean and organized to ensure a positive member / customer experience. Required Qualifications
High School diploma, GED or Technical school certification. Valid driver’s license. Mechanical aptitude; knowledge of automotive or truck systems, tools and technical resources; able to independently perform a variety of basic repairs and maintenance of automobile and truck vehicles. Consistently use equipment and tools; maintain a clean, safe and organized work area. Consistently provide exceptional customer service and improve customer service scores. Preferred Qualifications
G1‑Auto Maintenance & Light Repair. State inspection certificate where applicable. AC 609 Certification. Work Environment
May experience loud noises and odors intermittently in the shop environment. Standing, walking, normal physical mobility, including reaching, grabbing, lifting and carrying automotive parts and equipment (averaging up to approximately 80 pounds). Must have own tools appropriate for the skill level for use in the center. Must be able to work in the heat; some locations have no air conditioning. Compensation & Benefits
Pay rate: $16.00‑$17.00 per hour; overtime, annual bonus eligibility. Annual Incentive Opportunity, Certification Bonus Opportunity. Profit sharing, 401(k) with matching contributions (automatic 4% 401(k) employer contribution, additional 50% match up to 6% contribution). Excellent medical, dental, vision and prescription. Free AAA membership and free uniforms and shoes. Up to 3 weeks of vacation in first year, 11 paid holidays. Work‑life balance: closed Sundays, closed major holidays, shorter workdays (6pm).
