Base pay range
$80,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr Summary: We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Project Engineer
to lead and oversee
industrial automation and facility improvement projects
as part of
major capital investments
in manufacturing operations. This role involves the
electrical design, installation, and optimization
of advanced
casting furnaces and power distribution systems
to support production. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
electrical engineering, industrial controls, and manufacturing project management . As a
key technical leader
within the
casting group , this position requires expertise in
high-voltage systems, PLC programming, and process automation , as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and suppliers to ensure successful project execution. Key Responsibilities: Project Management & Execution:
Lead the design, implementation, and commissioning of
electrical systems
for
new casting furnaces , ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. Electrical System Design:
Develop and validate
power distribution systems, control panels, motor control circuits, and PLC-based automation
for manufacturing processes. Industrial Automation & Controls:
Implement and troubleshoot
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) . Cost & Risk Management:
Optimize project costs, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with financial and operational constraints. Quality & Reliability:
Ensure all designs and installations meet
industry standards, NFPA 70E, NEC, IEEE, and OSHA
regulations. Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance:
Uphold
safety protocols, electrical codes, and industrial compliance standards
to maintain a secure work environment. Vendor & Supplier Coordination:
Work with
third-party contractors, equipment manufacturers, and suppliers
to procure components and ensure seamless integration. Testing & Troubleshooting:
Conduct
electrical testing, system validation, and root cause analysis
to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime. Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain
detailed electrical schematics, technical reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
for all project activities. Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree
in
Electrical Engineering (EE)
with
3+ years
of experience,
or Associate Degree
in Electrical Engineering with
5+ years
of relevant experience. Experience: Strong background in
industrial manufacturing, power distribution, and automation . Experience with
casting processes, metal forming, or foundry environments
(Steel, Aluminum, or Titanium preferred). Expertise in
electrical design, troubleshooting, and validation
of industrial equipment. Proficiency in
AutoCAD Electrical, PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider Electric), and SCADA systems . Hands-on experience in
project management (PMP certification a plus)
within a manufacturing setting. Strong knowledge of
NFPA 70E, NEC, IEEE, UL508A, and OSHA electrical safety standards . Experience coordinating with
vendors, suppliers, and contractors
