Unitex is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Class B Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician to join our manufacturing team in Perth Amboy (NJ).
Compensation:
$22.00/hr to $30.00/hr. The salary range for this position is $22.00/hour to $30.00/hour. Actual compensation decisions are based on factors such as experience, seniority, location, and other permissible job-related factors. Schedule:
10:30AM - 7:00PM with days off being Sunday and Tuesday. Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and work with the team to resolve them promptly. Assist in repairing or replacing faulty components, parts, or systems as needed. Follow maintenance procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Document maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inventory updates. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a relevant field is preferred. Previous experience as a Class B Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician or a similar role in an industrial setting, preferably in the laundry industry. Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems related to industrial equipment. Basic knowledge of troubleshooting and repair techniques for laundry equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams related to industrial laundry equipment. Familiarity with safety practices and protocols in an industrial manufacturing environment. Solid attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate maintenance records. Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team. Ability to work independently while following instructions and guidelines.
