The UF Health Sleep Center, accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), provides diagnosis and treatment for various sleep disorders under the guidance of a multidisciplinary team of sleep medicine physicians from the University of Florida College of Medicine. Details: FTE: 0.40 Shift Hours: Nights Days of Week: VARIABLE The Sleep Center features a 12-bed facility with state-of-the-art monitoring equipment, operating seven nights a week, offering comfort and privacy for patients. It collaborates with physicians including pulmonologists, neurologists, dentists, surgeons, and sleep psychologists to diagnose and treat sleep disorders in both adults and children. The Technologist performs overnight polysomnograms, administers oxygen and CPAP, employs ventilatory assist devices, and recognizes at-risk events, notifying physicians as needed. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent (degree preferred) Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification from BRPT or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) certification from AASM Board-eligible graduates of accredited Polysomnography programs must pass the board exam within 3 months of employment Current CPR certification required before starting clinical work Additional Details: Licensure/Certification: RPSGT or RST Motor Vehicle Operator: Not required to operate vehicles for work purposes Position Details
