Role: Staff Nurse Leader overseeing clinical functions related to the delivery of patient care, quality of nursing practice, and standards of care for the assigned shift. Coordinates patient care activities, directs staff and unit functions, maintains clinical nursing practice skills, and provides break relief coverage. Acts as a role model and clinical resource to staff and patients. Responsibilities

Oversees clinical functions related to delivery of patient care, quality of nursing practice, and standards of care for the assigned shift. Directs staff and unit functions; coordinates patient care activities on the unit. Maintains clinical nursing practice skills and unit-specific expertise. Assesses, plans, intervenes, and advocates for patients across the continuum of care with psychomotor and age-appropriate cognitive skills. Provides break relief coverage for the shift and troubleshoots issues as they arise. Serves as a role model and clinical resource to staff and patients. What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications

RN with Specialty Certification in a Critical Care related area. Leadership experience: minimum of four points in leadership roles/responsibilities within the last three years (e.g., project team leadership, preceptorship, supervision roles, professional organization involvement). Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Minimum of 4 years of recent clinical nursing experience in an adult Intensive/Critical Care Unit. Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Understanding of patient classification systems and staffing requirements for the patient population. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements. Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families. Licenses and Certifications

Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Education
