We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Travel Neurology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant with experience in Neurology to join our team. The role involves providing comprehensive care to patients with neurological disorders, including epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson\'s disease, and other neurological conditions. This is an opportunity to make a difference in patients\' lives while collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including medication management and non-pharmacologic interventions Conduct regular follow-up visits to monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide education and support Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care in a multidisciplinary team Provide patient and family education on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize care delivery Perform comprehensive assessments to diagnose and treat patients with neurological conditions Travel regularly to multiple nursing homes within the designated region to deliver on-site care Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate facility visits and optimize patient coverage Requirements
Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license DEA License CPR BCLS/BLS certification Master\'s Degree in Nursing Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program At least one year of experience in Neurology Preferred experience in documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided Strong organizational and time management skills Reliable transportation Commitment to travel to different nursing homes within the state of Texas (100% travel) Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand/walk/work on feet up to 6-8 hours per day Why Work With Us?
