Job Description
We are currently looking for a Licensed Bilingual Speech – Language Pathologist who is enthusiastic, compassionate, and committed to providing inclusive, high quality care. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders in clients from infancy to geriatrics, providing therapy services in both English and a second language (e.g. Spanish, Mandarin, Bengali. Etc. ) You will collaborate with families, educators and other professionals to design individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of each client. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing evaluations in both English and a second language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, Bengali, etc.) Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating culturally and linguistically appropriate, therapeutic techniques. Deliver direct speech therapy services targeting a wide range of communication disorders, including:
Articulation and phonological disorders Receptive and expressive language delays Fluency disorders (e.g., stuttering) Voice disorders Feeding and swallowing difficulties
Provide progress reports every 3 months to track each client's development and adjust goals as needed. Collaborate with families, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to support generalization of skills across settings. Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes Educate and empower families to support communication growth at home and in the community. Stay up to date on best practices in bilingual and multicultural speech therapy through ongoing professional development. Make appropriate referrals to other disciplines when additional evaluation or intervention is needed to support the client’s overall development and progress. Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid New York State SLP License Fluency in English and one other language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, Bengali, etc.) Experience working with multicultural and multilingual populations Experience supporting individuals with sensory and behavioral needs Familiarity with interdisciplinary collaboration and referral practices Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in communication and swallowing disorders Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, team-based environment Benefits
