Responsibilities

Summary: Assess patient/family health problems and resources, taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care. Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations. Position requires providing service to one or more age groups including young adults through geriatric patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. The employee will support the organization's mission and core values and participate in the hospital's performance improvement plan. Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN), within their scope of practice, is responsible to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to a designated group of healthcare consumers across the continuum. Provides services which encompass the spiritual, physiological, social, and psychological aspects of care of the sick, prevention of disease, or conservation of health. Additional notes: New Employee Orientation (Monday) and Patient Orientation (Tuesday-Thursday) are required if offered a position. New Employee Orientation (NEO) is offered at St. Joseph’s every other Monday, except during weeks with a national holiday. Note: May be required to float to SJHMC as well as SJWMC as needed. Qualifications

Minimum: Education: Associates Degree in Nursing Bachelor's Degree Preferred Experience: Two (2) years of Nursing experience in an acute care facility Two (2) years of Nursing experience in a specialty Licensure: RN Arizona or Compact Certifications: American Heart Association BLS American Heart Association ACLS Overview
