Summary The position is looking for a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join the Atrius Oncology team at our Kenmore site in Boston, Massachusetts. The role is full-time with an open schedule, available during open business hours Mon‑Fri 8‑8p, Sat/Sun 10‑5, and rotating holidays. Position Overview Performs a variety of medication preparation tasks, as well as other duties in support of oncology pharmacy operations.
Education / Licenses / Certifications
High School diploma or equivalency certificate (e.g., GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution.
Graduate of an approved pharmacy technician program or institutional/retail pharmacy experience.
Registered Pharmacy Technician in Massachusetts with an active pharmacy technician license without restrictions from the MA Board of Pharmacy.
Active National Pharmacy Training Certification without restrictions.
Experience
One to two years’ experience as an IV pharmacy technician is preferred.
Knowledge of laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice and patient confidentiality.
Knowledge of medication abbreviation and symbols, common dosage calculations, and storage requirements.
Skills
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Working knowledge of pharmacy operations related to sterile intravenous preparations is preferred.
