Responsibilities
Provide ED nursing care in a high-volume department (RN to patient ratio 1:4; 43-bed unit).
Support procedures including procedural sedation, rapid-sequence intubation (RSI), IV starts on children, and ABG draws.
Work during EPIC conversion; EPIC experience is non-negotiable.
Collaborate with the ED team to deliver timely and safe care.
Adhere to all compliance and facility policies.
Qualifications
3+ years of ED experience.
Recent travel ED experience; no block scheduling will be considered.
EPIC experience required.
Experience with procedural sedation, RSI, IV starts on children, and ABG draws.
14-panel drug screen: must be able to complete within 24 hours of offer; substances include Amphetamines (including methamphetamine, MDMA, MDA), Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Cocaine Metabolite, Opiates (including codeine, morphine, oxycodone, oxymorphone, hydrocodone, hydromorphone), Phencyclidine, Methadone, Methaqualone, Propoxyphene, Buprenorphine and 6-Acetylmorphine.
ACLS, BLS, PALS (AHA).
New York license must be active at time of submission and uploaded with profile; NY license turnaround is approximately 30 days.
Permanent address must be included in profile and match the driver license/state ID; address will be validated during compliance.
Travelers from certain New York counties are not considered for travel assignments at Glens Falls: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington.
MUST have own vehicle.
Profile should include: work history, current skills checklist (current to 1 year), one supervisory signed reference (within past two years), licenses/certifications uploaded.
Benefits and Scheduling
Non-billable orientation: 8 hours.
OT/Holiday multipliers: 1.25%.
RTO requests must be noted at upload; no RTO requests after upload; no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted.
