Overview
RN - Labor & Delivery/Postpartum travel assignment with Atrium Health Cabarrus and Atrium Health Stanly. Not a teaching hospital. Advanced Primary Stroke Center. Radius rule: Traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit.

Responsibilities
Postpartum vaginal and cesarean deliveries; Newborn/couplet care
RN: 1:3-4 couplets
Fundal massage; newborn care including heel sticks, 24 hr testing, NAS scoring, lactation support
Must have the skillset to work LDRP
Support within the Department: CNA – 1 per shift – Scrub responsibilities; Receptionist/HUC – patient registration, visitor mgmt. and unit secretary duties; Case Manager – as needed; RT 24/7 – will perform Nebulizer treatments; Hospitalist, 24/7
OB Physicians – Neonatologist – remote
Floating within region and scope of practice; Will be required to float per region needs – DECLINE if not agreeable
Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH (peds only) — could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises)
If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (on the clock)
Orientation (facility and unit): NEO; 3 days departmental
Floating & Scheduling
Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH) — could float to facilities within region as needed
Scheduling: Weekend rotation every other; No call; Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays; RTO: up to 6 days off (must add time to end of contract if unable to meet contracted hours); Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
Scrub Color: Navy; Parking: Free
Qualifications
Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years of LDRP exp
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
RN: BLS, ACLS, EFM, NRP – Resource Team requirement
RN: Experience with the above patients, fundal massage, experience with newborn care to include heel sticks, 24 hr testing, NAS scoring, lactation support
Must have the skillset to work LDRP
