Description: OB/GYN - General; Location: Tacoma, WA; Organization: Virginia Mason Franciscan Health; Position Type: Full-Time. Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is actively seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN physician to join our team in Tacoma, WA. We will consider part- or full-time candidates. Position Overview
We are a well-established and busy physician and midwife women’s health group located in the Pacific Northwest. Our group consists of 9 OB/GYN physicians, 18 CNMs, 6 MFMs, 1 urogynecologist and 2 gynecologic oncologists. We provide evidenced-based women’s healthcare services to Tacoma and surrounding communities. Our practices are strategically located near the hospitals from which we practice. Candidates should be hardworking, compassionate, and dedicated to providing superior patient care. Our group offers a mix of gynecology and obstetrics, including high-risk obstetrics and gynecologic surgeries. We provide comprehensive pregnancy care with in-office ultrasound and embedded Maternal Fetal Medicine support. Our group also has GYN/ONC and urogynecology support available. All providers enjoy a 4-day work week with 1 in 8-9 call coverage frequency. After an initial guarantee, compensation is production-based, with most providers above 65% in production, typically over $375,000–$500,000+ per year. Our group serves in one of the fastest-growing areas in the country. Living in the Puget Sound Region offers city life and outdoor activities. You can choose between city living and the suburbs. St Joseph Hospital is a 375-bed Level II Trauma Center located in Tacoma. There is 24/7 in-house laborist and anesthesia coverage, plus MFM support. St. Joe’s has a Level III NICU and a partnership with Seattle Children’s for specialty newborn care if needed. The group delivers approximately 215 babies per month. St. Joe’s has Baby Friendly designation and recognition by the International Lactation Consultant Association for lactation care. For gynecologic surgeries, you will have access to multiple daVinci robotic systems. There is also opportunity for resident teaching in Labor and Delivery. Compensation range: 325,030 – 481,800 (estimate; final pay depends on experience and system policies). Qualifications/Requirements
MD or DO, Board Certified/Board Eligible (must become BC within the first two years of employment) Washington State medical license required at time of employment DEA, NPI and prescriptive authority Current BLS for Health Providers certification by the American Heart Association Where You'll Work
