Overview
Orthopedic Physicians Alaska (OPA) is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the Soldotna location. This is a PRN/Full-time opportunity with benefits for full-time staff.
Responsibilities
Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and protect patients, staff, and self from radiation hazards. Take X-rays and other radiological images following established patient care and safety procedures, including infection control and ALARA principles.
Operate radiographic equipment and adjust imaging factors to obtain diagnostic-quality images. Position patients and perform radiographic procedures as requested by physicians. Process and transmit images to appropriate medical staff.
Operate Large C-arm and Mini C-arm with attention to image density/contrast, dose reduction, and image quality; print and transfer images to the OPA PACS system.
Assist providers during pain and OR procedures, position patients, move radiology equipment, and provide radiation protection devices in line with standards.
Coordinate with staff for exams, including arranging portable X-rays and routine/emergency imaging as planned.
Maintain accurate records (patient records, daily logs, monthly reports) and perform quality control checks on equipment in accordance with laws and policies.
Maintain radiographic supplies, manage OR and storage areas, and assist with patient turnover and daily scheduling coordination.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
