MedStar Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Float (Inpatient) to join our team at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital!
The Occupational Therapist provides occupational therapy services to patients, including screening and evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, re-assessment and revision, patient/client re-evaluation, discharge planning, and documentation at a minimum of three (3) locations. The Occupational Therapist participates in program planning, protocol development, and supports team efforts to meet established goals.

Primary Duties:
Conduct evaluations, review history, perform assessments, and document results. Develop treatment plans, explain findings, involve patients and families in goal-setting, and adjust care as needed.
Accurately document patient care, including evaluations, progress summaries, and discharge plans. Ensure timely follow-up while maintaining organized records.
Manage schedules efficiently, meet productivity expectations, and adapt to department needs while ensuring smooth patient access.
Participate in multidisciplinary teams, hospital committees, and community outreach. Support department goals, comply with regulations, and engage in quality improvement.
Pursue continuing education, maintain professional competency, and mentor students, new staff, and volunteers. Act as a clinical instructor and assist with orientation and training.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy (required)
Master's degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy (required)
Doctoral degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
Minimum Qualifications
This position has a hiring range of $72,758 - $130,041.
