Responsibilities
Maintain control and safety of the institution, ensuring security for inmates, staff, and the public.
Supervise inmate activities in housing units, dining areas, recreation, and work areas.
Attend to the medical, visitation, personal property, and recreational needs of inmates.
Inspect and patrol the grounds for contraband, unauthorized personnel, and other security risks.
Complete required reports and daily logs.
Conduct inmate counts, security rounds, and searches.

Minimum Requirements
High school graduate
Must be twenty years of age
Valid driver's license
Department of Juvenile Justice Training Academy completion within six months (for Juvenile Justice)
Pay Base salary: $39,127.68 per year. Locality premium: $5.23. Shift premium: $2.13 per hour. Weekend premium: $2.13 per hour. Holiday premium: $2.13 per hour.
