Front Desk Agent (Part Time) – DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Jose We’re looking for a Front Desk Agent to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about customer service and eager to grow in the hospitality industry. Located within 5 minutes of San Jose International Airport and 10 minutes from downtown San Jose, this position offers a vibrant work environment and the chance to support guests from arrival to departure.

Hourly Rate:

Starting at $25.56 per hour, increasing to $31.95 after the 90‑day probation period. This rate reflects applicable experience and location.

Ideal candidates will possess:

Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight if needed.

Effective communication skills in English.

Minimum one year of customer service experience.

Hotel experience preferred.

Experience with OnQ, PMS, or related front‑desk systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet guests and complete the registration process, including inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirming guest details and room rate, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing a welcome packet, and ensuring guests know the location of their room or have a bell person accompany them.

Respond to guest inquiries in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.

Provide driving and/or walking directions to guests for local destinations.

Maintain a high level of product knowledge of the hotel, including directions, hours of outlet operation, hotel services, events, and local and community attractions.

Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships.

Provide or obtain accurate information.

Other Compensation Front Office Upselling Incentive Program – commission based on upsell revenue at check‑out. Upsell revenue can include room type upgrades, early check‑in fees, late check‑out fees, and late cancellation fees.
