Overview The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Jose is looking for a Front Desk Agent to join the team. Location Work Locations: DoubleTree San Jose, 2050 Gateway Place, San Jose 95110

Hourly Rate The starting hourly rate for this role is $25.56 and it will increase after a 90-day probation period to $31.95 per hour. This rate is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

Responsibilities

Greet guests and complete the registration process, including inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirming guest information and room rate, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting marketing programs, providing a welcome packet, and ensuring the guest knows the location of their room or has a bell person accompany them.

Respond to guest inquiries in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.

Provide driving and/or walking directions to guests to local destinations.

Maintain a high level of product knowledge of the hotel, including directions, hours of outlet operation, hotel services, events, and local attractions.

Assist fellow team members and other departments to maintain positive working relationships.

Provide or obtain accurate information as needed.

Qualifications

Availability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts if needed.

Ability to effectively communicate in English.

At least one year of customer service experience.

Hotel experience is highly desired.

Experience with OnQ PM System for Front Desk and/or related systems is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits Other Compensation: Front Office Upselling Incentive Program – Commission based program based on upsell generated revenue. Revenue is calculated at the time of guest check-out. Upsell revenue can include room type upgrades, early check-in fee, late check-out fees, and late cancellation fees.
