Overview
Armed Security Supervisor – Response at GardaWorld, Downtown Portland Compensation: $34.50 / hour. Shift: Varies (Full-time). GardaWorld is hiring for Portland Clean & Safe. This role involves armed security responsibilities, leadership of a security team, and collaboration with local law enforcement to maintain a safe environment. Responsibilities
Lead and assign day-to-day responsibilities to the security team. Plan and manage scheduling, performance reports, continuing in-service training, crew and program evaluation, and disciplinary actions. Operate in uniform with radio communications to coordinate with Shift Supervisors, Portland Police Bureau Clean & Safe Officers, and other public agencies as required. Maintain a vehicle for quick response times to calls for service. Provide armed visual security to deter and respond to threats; attempt to stop criminal conduct and street disorder as appropriate. Collaborate with Portland Police Bureau, report criminal activities, and follow guidelines on arrests or investigations unless directed otherwise in emergencies. Maintain daily logs and file incident reports; engage in problem-solving and de-escalation as part of community policing strategies. Adhere to Oregon State law and DPSST certification standards; pursue further training in de-escalation, mental health crisis response, trauma-informed care, and social service referrals when requested. Qualifications
High school education or equivalent (GED). Extensive background in Military or Law Enforcement, or a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice, Political Science, or Security Administration. Armed Security License and valid state driver’s license with a clean MVR. Must be at least 21 years old. Able to pass an extensive screening process. Benefits
