Licensed Addiction Counselor Join the North Dakota Department of Health & Human Services as an Addiction Counselor to ensure vulnerable populations receive high-quality behavioral health care.

Responsibilities

Conduct level‑of‑care screenings and develop integrated service plans.

Provide short‑term individual, family, and group counseling.

Deliver crisis intervention and risk assessments in the office and community settings.

Offer education and consultation to families, community partners, interns, and residents.

Qualifications

bachelor’s degree in Addiction Counseling, Addiction Studies, Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.

current licensure as an Addiction Counselor (LAC) by the North Dakota Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners.

valid driver’s license and completion of a defensive driving course during orientation.

ready to travel to meet clients at their location.
