Overview As a Licensed Addiction Counselor with the ND Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, you will provide clinical and therapeutic services to individuals within our correctional facilities.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to conduct assessments and referrals, deliver evidence-based programming, facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, and provide crisis interventions and case management services.

Respond to mental health crises through on-call responsibilities and emergency interventions as needed.

Participate in clinical staffing department meetings and housing unit briefings, and regularly consult with supervisors regarding resident needs and treatment planning.

Manage client cases by coordinating referrals and support services, and develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client.

Conduct mental health assessments and determine appropriate levels of care.

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation and ensure that all client records meet licensure standards for substance abuse treatment programs.

Qualifications

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Addiction Counseling, Addiction Studies, Social Work, Counseling or Psychology, AND current licensure as an Addiction Counselor by the North Dakota Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners.

Begin at level I: Starting Salary $6,067 with sign-on bonus $4,000.

Begin at level II: Requires two years of experience as a Licensed Addiction Counselor or a Master's degree substitutes for one year. Starting Salary $6,203 with sign-on bonus $5,000.
