This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business, supporting our network of local cooperatives, independent dealers and other large retailers who serve producers and animal owners across the United States. Through industry-leading R&D and committed partnerships, we innovate nutrition products and practices that unlock the full potential of every animal for a healthier, more productive life. This position gives you the opportunity to lead our quality programs. You will ensure safe animal feed is produced in a manufacturing environment. You will report to the Plant Manager at the Henderson, CO plant and will support our Commerce City, CO plant one day per week. Our QA practices are housed in our QMS (Quality Management System). Following these practices, you will implement new policies as regulations change and maintain existing practices. You will interact with production staff, providing coaching and training on quality standards, HACCP, and other regulatory initiatives. You will also lead continuous improvement projects and provide root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve issues. Required Experience/Education
High School Diploma/GED 4+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance in feed, food or related fields of operation Required Competencies/Skills
Knowledge of regulatory requirements including HACCP and GMPs Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation Integrity in products, processes, and relationships Strong communication, interpersonal, training, and coaching skills Effective written and oral communication skills Analytical problem solving and root cause analysis Ability to be insightful and act strategically and tactically Ability to handle customer complaints Preferred Experience/Education
6+ years in a QA role within a manufacturing plant Bachelor’s Degree in Feed Science or related field Preferred Competencies/Skills
Knowledge of FDA and other applicable regulatory agencies SOPs Salary
$79,200 - $118,800 In most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of our salary ranges. Benefits
