– The Cargo Ramp Supervisor manages, coordinates and controls all aspects of a cargo operation, overseeing operational activities, staffing, training, and compliance. Responsibilities include directing personnel, ensuring safety, security, quality, and customer satisfaction, and maintaining adherence to corporate security programs and TSA legislation. Ensure audits and site security plans are implemented and that staff display proper ID. The role may vary with operation size and primary line of business. Cargo Service Functions
– Responsible for cargo warehousing, receiving, dispatching and staging airfreight and related duties; operating motorized vehicles; routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, equipment, and facilities; and other related functions. Responsibilities Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret measurements and graphs. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions and work with multiple variables. Work with minimal supervision. Reports to work on a regular and timely basis. Minimum Requirements Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off. Preferred Skills Ability to handle stress. Cognitive skills to set priorities and use independent judgment. Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand English. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Work in a high-noise environment.
